Mélina Gomez has a strong background in polymer science, having earned a technical degree in chemistry. To validate her diploma, she completed an internship in monomer and polymer synthesis. Her previous experiences in monomer and polymer synthesis, characterization, and material functionalization provided a solid foundation for her work. Through her apprenticeship at SPECIFIC POLYMERS, she further expanded her expertise, allowing her to now synthesize and characterize polymers for various industrial projects, particularly in the healthcare and energy sectors. After graduating from the University of Clermont Auvergne in 2024, she joined the SPECIFIC POLYMERS team on a full-time basis.
Main Research Areas: free and controlled radical polymerization, ring-opening polymerization, multi-step synthesis, scale-up optimisation, caracterization of polymers.
