PHTE (SP-9S-5-003) was developed as part of our research into bisphenol-free and bio-based alternatives to conventional epoxy resins.
Based on a phloroglucinol core bearing three glycidyl ether functions, PHTE offers a high crosslinking potential for the development of advanced epoxy systems. It is supplied as a yellow to slightly orange viscous liquid, with a typical epoxy index of 7.2–8.5 meq/g and an EEW of approximately 120–140 g/eq.
Its viscosity ranges from 25,000 to 100 cP·s between 30°C and 80°C. When formulated with suitable hardeners, PHTE-based systems can achieve glass transition temperatures from around 100°C to above 250°C, depending on the formulation.
PHTE is available in 100 g, 250 g, 500 g, 1 kg, 2.5 kg and 5 kg quantities, with bulk quantities available on demand.
