Samuel has been a member of the SPECIFIC POLYMERS team since 2013, first as an apprentice, and then as a research engineer starting in 2017. Graduating from the “ecole nationale supérieure de chimie de Montpellier” (ENSCM) in Montpellier (France) with a master’s degree, Samuel has solid expertise in polymer and materials chemistry, particularly in the fields of energy and bio-based polymers. Samuel is now leading the Energy and Green Chemistry activities in the company. Through industrial, collaborative or internal R&D projects, Samuel is in charge of developing innovative products and promoting SPECIFIC POLYMERS’ expertise in these fields.
Main Research Areas: Bio-based epoxy resins, bio-based flame retardant agents, lithium salts and building-blocks for lithium batteries, conductive polymers for fuel cells, free and controlled radical polymerization (atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), activators regenerated by electron transfer (ARGET), reversible addition−fragmentation chain-transfer (RAFT)).
