At SPECIFIC POLYMERS, we are proud to introduce our products of the month: VTFSILi (SP-69-002) and VTFSINa (SP-69-003), two innovative salt monomers designed to meet the growing challenges of modern energy storage. VTFSILi is a lithium-based vinyl monomer with a bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (TFSI) counterion, while VTFSINa is its sodium-based analogue, specifically developed for emerging sodium-ion battery technologies.

Both compounds have been carefully engineered to combine high ionic conductivity, thermal and electrochemical stability, and polymerizable functionalities that make them ideally suited for advanced polymer electrolyte systems. Thanks to the specific reactivity of their vinyl groups, such as Michael addition, VTFSILi and VTFSINa open the door to innovative polymer architectures tailored for demanding applications.

As key building blocks for single-ion conducting polymers and solid polymer electrolytes, these monomers represent a significant step forward in the development of solid-state batteries.
